摘要: We have studied the activity of substances (superoxide dismutase [SOD], catalase [Cat], malonaldehyde, xanthine oxidase [XO], nitric oxide [NOx]) participating in oxidative stress. Seminal plasma samples 147 ejaculates obtained from normal and infertile males were examined. Activities SOD, Cat, XO measured chemiluminometrically while malonaldehydes NOx by spectrophotometer seminal samples. Ejaculates previously characterized according to World Health Organization andrological criteria (sperm number, motility, morphology). Procedures performed a university laboratory. Statistically significant changes (in comparison normozoospermic samples) noted activities XO, malonaldehyde levels. The SOD exceeded values for only oligozoospermia. Otherwise low levels analyzed subgroups inversely related elevated malonaldehydes. Because diminished was associated with increased we could postulate some significance these monitored evaluation cause male infertility.
