摘要: Summary This paper reviews current developments in equine osteochondrosis complex and the clinical syndromes associated with it. Although primary lesion has been defined as a failure of endochondral ossification, its definitive cause is unknown appears to involve heredity, growth rate, nutrition, mineral imbalance, endocrinological dysfunction biomechanical trauma. Despite international importance horses, surprisingly few controlled investigations have performed on pathogenesis. The studies that conducted suggest local effects differentiating cartilage are key more complete understanding problem. Gaps knowledge include in-depth life cycle chondrocytes cartilage, process mineralisation use standard experimental model for induction osteochondrosis. ultimate goal research must be prevent or reduce incidence condition horses.
