摘要: Abstract Major rivers from the Himalayas carry a high volume of sedimentation, and deposit it across Bay Bengal in Bangladesh. This has caused significant changes morphology bay, including development islands bay area. However, few studies have been carried out on morphological changes, especially new northern Bengal. study, therefore, aimed to assess coastal ecological succession newly formed We used state art cloud computing technologies, using Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform. Publicly available annual composites Landsat 8, ETM+, TM data 1989 2018 were for analysis. The findings showed area over period 30 years. There was 1.15% increase land between 2018. New old disappeared majority offshore developed estuary Meghna River. Among quickly grown islands, Bhashan Char, Char Nizam, Jahajerchar, Urir are prominent. Initially, appeared as barren areas without any vegetation, but different types vegetation observed growing recently. this study important conservation planning islands.
