摘要: Endoscopic transsphenoidal resection of skull base lesions has been introduced widely as an alternative to microscopic transmucosal approaches. We report the introduction this technique our unit, including learning curve recognized for procedure, comparing techniques in a concurrent case-control fashion. All patients operated on sellar, suprasellar, or clival were considered endoscopic surgery, with 51 undergoing surgery and 46 having operating method determined by availability ear, nose, throat surgeon involved procedures. compared favorably respect endocrine control, length stay, diabetes insipidus, cerebrospinal fluid leakage. A was found significant fall complication rates between first third most recent cohort. superior results approaches once initial is overcome, but can be done quickly safely.
