摘要: Diesel engine cold-start problems include long cranking periods, hesitation and white smoke emissions. A better understanding of these is essential to improve diesel cold-start. In this study computer simulation model developed for the steady state transient cold starting processes in a single-cylinder naturally aspirated direct injection engine. The verified experimentally utilized determine key parameters that affect period combustion instability after starts. behavior fuel spray before it impinges on chamber walls was analyzed each cycle during operation. analysis indicated accumulated has major impact through increasing compression pressure temperature vapor concentration ignition delay period. An "Autoignition Index" (AI) introduced first firing cycle. Also, details. misfiring caused by an imbalance between dynamic kinetics. predictions instantaneous speed variation showed same tend as experimental results.
