摘要: Ambivalence is expressed when a person endorses both positive and negative attitudinal positions. commonly measured by having respondents provide separate ratings of the components their attitudes. A number different equations have been proposed for combining two into numerical index ambivalence. However, similarities differences among are not well understood. This article introduces graphical method to help identify important properties an ambivalence index. Five indexes were compared contrasted using this method, only found possess satisfactory properties. The same also computed from respondents' 26 attitude topics, it was that empirical relatively small.
