摘要: 'Religion and politics', as the old saying goes, 'should never be discussed in mixed company.'And yet fostering discussions that cross lines of political difference has long been a central concern theorists. More recently, it also become cause celebre for pundits civic-minded citizens wanting to improve health American democracy. But only recently have scholars begun empirical investigations where with what consequences people interact those whose views differ from their own. Hearing Other Side examines this theme context contemporary United States. It is unique its effort link theory research. Drawing on her work, Mutz suggests doubtful an extremely activist culture can heavily deliberative one.
