摘要: In bioluminescent bacteria growing in shake flasks, the enzyme luciferase has been shown to be synthesized a relatively short burst during period of exponential growth. The gene appears completely inactive freshly inoculated culture; pulse preferential synthesis which occurs later is consequence its activation at level deoxyribonucleic acid transcription attributed an effect “conditioning” medium by cells. Although cells grown minimal also exhibit similar luminescent system, amount quantitatively less, relative cell mass. Under such conditions, added arginine results striking stimulation bioluminescence. This existing patterns and not induction or derepression per se.
