摘要: Metastasis is the transfer of malignant tumors from one organ to a distant organ. It most common cause death in cancer patients. Different molecular mechanisms enable tumor cells infiltrate surrounding tissue, invade blood vessels and leave stream at different site. Tumor cell interaction with extracellular matrix components epithelial-mesenchymal transition as well angiogenesis are important factors invasion metastasis. Gene expression profiles metastatic various organs not every has capacity metastasize. The microenvironment influences formation Only 1% micrometastases progress into macrometastases.
