摘要: Abstract Downward (inverse) fluidization can be achieved when the density of particles is less than that liquid and continuous phase. This technique mainly used in biochemical engineering operations, e.g. for fermentation waste water treatment. Experiments were conducted to study hydrodynamics inverse gas—liquid—solid fluidized beds using very light particles. The experimental data minimum velocity at onset are correlated terms physical properties fluids, particle characteristics system variables. A correlation friction factor also proposed.
