摘要: Fluidized beds are used extensively in various fields of engineering since they have the potential to promote high levels contact between gases, liquids and solids. A characteristic set basic properties a fluidized bed can be practically which is absolutely essential for modern process chemical engineering. Knowledge onset fluidization highly relevant it serves as key three-phase fluidized-bed reactors design safe operation. In Three-phase particulate solid suspended an upward co-current flow gas liquid. Three phase also commonly referred Gas-Liquid-Solid petrochemical, refining food processing industries. The most important industrial application heterogeneous catalytic hydrogenation residual oils or coal slurry removal sulfur production hydrocarbon distillates by hydrocracking. Keeping view complexity hydrodynamic behavior gas-liquid-solid fluidized, CFD analysis predict characteristics. In present work FLUENT 6.3.26 has been study fluidization. simulations done column height 1.88 m diameter 0.1 containing glass beads particles size 2.18 mm. work, involving three bed, holdup studied. GAMBIT 2.3.16 generate 2D coarse grid. Individual determined this work. results indicate that well increases with increasing velocity decreasing liquid velocity. Liquid air compared those calculated from experimental found agree well. Keywords: holdup,
