摘要: We have constructed a plasma cathode that produces uniformly diffuse discharge in vacuum (5 x 10/sup -5/ torr), with current density of more than 60 A/cm/sup 2/. The consists number sources integrated to the electrode body, such way when they are triggered volume is filled allows transit high densities through gap. Analysis preliminary test results shows peak which only limited by conditions external circuit. can be configured flat, radial or even non-spherical geometry focus ejected from each source. Voltage and traces showing behavior system shown as well set-up. Preliminary calculations show total gap not space-charge conduction bulk plasma. device ideal for erosion opening switches repetitive switches.
