摘要: Characteristics of a sealed vacuum gap are described and the difficulties encountered in applying this as an overvoltage protection device discussed. It is shown how these can be ameliorated by use gas-free electrode materials triggering when breakdown required. Several methods discussed some practical devices that inject minute quantities ionized hydrogen into gap.
