摘要: Chronic Calcific Pancreatitis of Tropics is a disease unknown aetiology and characterised by chronic pancreatitis with calcification in young persons who present pain, diabetes, and/or steatorrhoea. ERCP performed on 42 patients this condition revealed changes compatible pancreatitis. These were however, more marked somewhat different from those seen the alcoholic Cystic dilatation, tortuosity, obstruction main pancreatic duct similar to that The features CCPT latter, large calculi, absence strictures/stenosis irregularity ductal wall. calculi predominantly head region pancreas causing maximal dilatation pancreas. secondary branches stunted, short scanty but lower grade changes, than documented duct. seems be may due difference pathophysiology underlying disease.
