摘要: Long-term exposure to radon increases the risk of developing lung cancer. There is considerable public concern about exhalation from building materials and contribution indoor levels. To address this concern, rates were determined for 53 different samples drywall, tile granite available on Canadian market interior home decoration. The ranged non-detectable 312 Bq m(-2) d(-1). Slate tiles slabs had relatively higher than other decorative materials, such as ceramic or porcelain tiles. average 30 d(-1) slate 42 various types origins. Analysis showed that even if an entire floor was covered with a material having rate 300 d(-1), it would contribute only 18 m(-3) tightly sealed house air exchange 0.3 per hour. Generally speaking, used in decoration make no significant adequate exchange.
