摘要: Annotation of the genome sequence SARS-CoV (severe acute respiratory syndrome-associated coronavirus) is indispensable to understand its evolution and pathogenesis. We have performed a full annotation sequences by using programs publicly available or developed ourselves. Totally, 21 open reading frames (ORFs) genes putative uncharacterized proteins (PUPs) were predicted. Seven PUPs had not been reported previously, two them predicted contain transmembrane regions. Eight ORFs partially overlapped with embedded into those known genes, revealing that small compact one coding The most striking discovery an ORF locates on minus strand. also annotated non-coding regions identified transcription regulating (TRS) in intergenic analysis TRS supports strand extending mechanism coronavirus. SNP different isolates reveals mutations do affect prediction results ORFs.
