摘要: The purpose of this study was to ascertain the effects different amounts progesterone on estrogen-induced DNA synthesis in vaginal and lower cervical epithelia rat. Ovariectomized rats were injected subcutaneously with 1 μg estradiol-17β dipropionate or estradiol 1, 5, 10 15 mg for three days; control received oil. Tritiated thymidine one hour prior necropsy; tissues processed autoradiographic percentages labeled nuclei basal layer from half both vagina cervix determined. In group given uptake significantly increased over that only estrogen. However, treated progesterone, extent replication epithelial similar estrogen group. These responses compared those epithelium cervix. None estrogen-progesterone treatments index above alone; additionally, suppressed replication. data indicate stratified these two portions reproductive tract respond differently exogenous ovarian hormones.
