摘要: Oncostatin M (OM) is a pleiotropic cytokine of the interleukin 6 family, whose in vivo properties and physiological function remain dispute poorly defined. These studies strongly suggest that OM anabolic, promoting wound healing bone formation, anti-inflammatory. In models inflammation produced late response protects from lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced toxicities, re-establishment homoeostasis by cooperating with proinflammatory cytokines acute phase molecules to alter attenuate inflammatory response. Administration inhibited bacterial LPS-induced production tumour necrosis factor α and septic lethality dose dependent manner. Consistent these findings, animal chronic disease potently suppressed tissue destruction murine rheumatoid arthritis multiple sclerosis. T cell antibody were not impaired treatment. Taken together, data indicate activities this are anti-inflammatory without concordant immunosuppression.
