摘要: FoxO proteins are an evolutionarily conserved subfamily of transcription factors involved in tumor suppression, regulation energy metabolism and development several tissues, mainly regulated by phosphorylation-dependent nuclear/cytoplasmic shuttling. The transcriptional activity FoxO3A, one the four members family, is further modulated AMPK, key regulators cellular metabolism, which basically shifts cell machinery from energy-consuming to energy-producing pathways. We recently demonstrated that AMPK/FoxO3A sensor pathway still inducible human cancer cells response metabolic stress, as it becomes activated colorectal ovarian inhibition p38α. Activation FoxO3A program initially induces autophagy attempt retain survive, whereas under persistent stress conditions triggers autophagic death. In this review, we focus on connections between AMPK Fox...
