摘要: [1] A video imagery technique for making flow measurements in streams and waterways is presented used to estimate discharge Clear Creek near Oxford, Iowa. A camera was visualize the seeded with tracers. Measurements of free surface velocities were then made using particle image velocimetry (PIV) techniques. The velocity as input a hydraulic model, which uses kinematic principles (conservation mass) derive three-dimensional fields estimation. survey five channel cross sections over 7.15 m length stream define bathymetry model. average width 5.7 m, depth 0.2 m. (0.183 m3/s) compares well current meter measurement (0.192 m3/s an estimated standard error 6.4%). root-mean square difference depth-averaged at locations 0.032 m/s. Potential applications include flood flows ungaged sites, river monitoring from remote site, estimation two- components.
