摘要: An enormous order-dependent quantum enhancement of thermoelectric effects in the vicinity higher-order interferences has been discovered transmission spectrum nanoscale junctions. Significant enhancements due to both nodes and resonances across such junctions are exemplified by single-molecule (SMJs) based on 3,3'-biphenyl polyphenyl ether (PPE). Thermoelectric devices employing SMJs offer superior efficiency performance. Moreover, enhanced response is not limited only SMJs, but may be obtained from any junction exhibiting or arising coherent electronic transport.
