摘要: Benign and low malignant tumors of the middle pancreatic segment can be resected by extended pancreaticoduodenectomy or distal resection. Both procedures involve unavoidably extensive loss normal parenchyma, leading to deteriorated endocrine exocrine function. Segmental resection represents an organ-preserving surgical procedure. Normal tissue preserved as only tumor with a is resected. Several reports confirm lower mortality minimal risk postoperative insufficiency than standard resections. The indication should limited exclusively benign tumors, metastases from other focal chronic pancreatitis, this type cannot deemed oncologic. resections are technically more demanding therefore performed in experienced centers.
