Study on multiple-step incremental air-bending forming of sheet metal with springback model and FEM simulation

摘要: A mathematical model of springback radius was developed with dimensional analysis and orthogonal test. With this model, the punch could be solved for forming high-precision semiellipse-shaped workpieces. other geometrical parameters a tool, 2D ABAQUS finite-element (FEM) established. Then, process sheet metal multiple-step incremental air bending simulated FEM. The result showed that average errors workpiece were +0.68/−0.65 mm, provided data consisting feed rate, displacement angle in each step. workpiece, whose are +0.68/−0.69 made simulation data. These results indicate design method is feasible means FEM effective. It can taken as new approach air-bending tool design.
