Eco-Sustainable Metropolises: An Analysis of Budgetary Strategy in Italy’s Largest Municipalities

摘要: The sustainable urban development agenda calls for city governments worldwide to integrate sustainability goals into their budgetary processes. This article presents the findings of an analysis integration environmental strategy fourteen Italian metropolitan municipalities. Its purpose is find out extent which they are committed promotion environmentally cities. A documentary research both strategic planning documents and municipal budgets was conducted. Correlation linear regression techniques were used a quantitative data indicated strong positive relationship between amount resources invested in total availability resources. Furthermore, study found that all municipalities integrating objectives supporting but different with focus on waste. Further efforts needed effective full integration, enduring challenge local government managers.
