摘要: We report the sputum penetration and efficacy of fusidic acid in 16 children with cystic fibrosis (CF) who were hospitalized because acute respiratory tract infection due to Staphylococcus aureus. Penetration into response therapy evaluated after intravenous oral drug administration. Oral (approximately 1,000 mg/m2/day) achieved highly satisfactory serum (10–50 μg/ml) (0.6–4.0 concentrations which several fold greater than MIC infecting S. aureus strains. The average percentage during steady state phase concentration-time curve was between 5 10%. treatment is reflected by improvement clinical findings laboratory data. Eradication from documented 14 patients, although 6 months later this shown be transient half them (7 patients). No staphylococci resistant found. Nine staphylococcal eradication had received gentamicin addition could have added antistaphylococcal efficacy. Further investigations are needed formulate definitive role patients CF.
