摘要: AbstractInvestigations are reported of the response an alumina fibre–aluminium metal matrix composite system to wear by two-body abrasion. The resistance composites was found range from almost two six times that unreinforced alloy. A transition in behaviour for various sizes abrasive particle. With small particles, increased with increasing fibre volume fraction and worn surfaces were relatively smooth. larger decreased content above a certain level and, on surfaces, fracture extensive debonding observed at fibre/matrix interface. effect particle size this may be explained theoretical analysis brittle ductile under point loading.MST/872
