摘要: We measure and model the concentration of separate phase hydrocarbons downgradient a 19 year old aviation gasoline spill at US Coast Guard Air Station in Traverse City, Michigan. The is presumed to exist mobile residual partitions whose transport modeled as simple one dimensional balance storage, advection, volatilization, linear sorption. Field calibration suggests retardation factor 13.1, while volatilization accounts for about 30% originally spilled product, underscoring importance these two mechanisms immiscible fate studies.
