摘要: Abstract The anoxic decomposition processes in sediments from a tropical mangrove forest (Bangrong, Thailand) and salt marsh the temperate Wadden Sea (Denmark) were compared, effects of increased ammonium and/or phosphate concentrations on studied. Sediment was incubated jars (20-ml glass vials) changes porewater solutes followed time series 3 weeks. Furthermore, short-term fate (days) dissolved inorganic (DIP) added to Bangrong sediment evaluated phosphorus fractionation. Although organic matter at both study sites had relatively high C:N C:P ratios, not affected by nutrient enrichments level applied this study. metabolism (TCO 2 DOC production, sulfate consumption) 5–10 times higher than sediment, probably due content structural carbohydrates (e.g. cellulose) as indicated ratios matter. This is substantiated lower release suggests faster turnover N P deficient bacteria sediment. DIP released during but retained Analysis fractions revealed that excess efficiently taken up particles primarily retrieved easily exchangeable iron bound fractions. studied seems be sink.
