摘要: Abstract Although medical genetics is a well-developed area of interest, relatively little known about the diseases caused by combination many genes. These multiinfluenced include autoimmune endocrine diseases. Recent advances in techniques for whole-genome screening have shown variety loci that are linked to development insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, and similar data likely be soon generated thyroid disease. Here, authors survey current state genetic knowledge these two areas describe investigative analytical now available. (Trends Endocrinol Metab 1997;8:63–70). © 1997, Elsevier Science Inc.
