摘要: For a long time, we are facing problems like failures of small and big structures. The biggest problem behind this is swelling soils. This very unstable soil. Its property varies from hard to soft dry wet. It exhibits shrinkage with different water content. As result, many structures usually face excessive settlement differential movements, which causes damage foundation systems other structural elements. We aware about situation for but unable make improvements due absence technologies till now. Through physico-chemical modifications, lime can control the plasticity, soil effectively. Also, stabilize through cementation increases strength stiffness remarkably. In work plasticity characteristics, swell properties, compaction characteristics properties plastic soils wide range treated has been evaluated experimentally. Based on unconfined compressive optimum content found out. purpose, commercial high clay (i.e. bentonite) having liquid limit 340% mixed proportions residual 34% four were synthesized over plasticity. physical raw amended index as well engineering have studied by conducting relevant experiments conforming Indian standard code practice. experimental results it observed that reduces increases, shrink decreases significant effect strength.
