摘要: We report a novel approach based on non-covalent interactions for the functionalization of carbon nano-onions (CNOs) with fluorophores. The assembly pyrene–BODIPY conjugates CNO surface by means π–π-stacking results in fluorescent nanoparticles that are successfully uptaken HeLa cancer cells no cytotoxicity observed. ability to functionalize carbon-based nanomaterials using mild conditions will pave way future clinical application these versatile nanomaterials.
