摘要: Abstract Carbon nano-onions (CNOs) are an emerging class of nanoparticles which shows great potential in a number different applications. nano-materials have been widely explored biological cell imaging, due to their lack toxicity, and biosafety. Recently, the rapid development availability chemical surface modification methods made it possible explore these cage-in-cage structured as novel systems for The functionalization CNOs with functional groups improves solubility biocompatibility, resulting increased ability penetrate into cells. Moreover, small size high area allow conjugation diagnostic therapeutic agents, opening new avenues theranostic In this review article, we discuss latest advances reported by our group regarding use biomedical applications findings confirm potentiality promising platform approaches.
