摘要: Abstract Oxidative degradation of electrochemically synthesized p -toluene sulfonic acid doped polypyrrole, PTS-PPY was studied by the application evolved gas analysis using IR spectroscopy and direct insertion probe pyrolysis mass spectrometry techniques. It has been observed that PPY films prepared in aqueous media contained high concentration oxygenated species even if synthesis potential kept low. The extent overoxidation associated to ketone formation increased increasing applied thermal ageing. decrease conductivity is attributed replacement dopant, as a result nucleophlic attack on polycationic chain, hydroxide and/or O 2 . Pyrolysis analyses also indicated chemically samples were air more readily yielded mainly CO groups. Presence groups for these may be with adsorption H or present during an impurity. technique shown very powerful not only determining decomposition products but investigating interaction dopant polymer matrix.
