摘要: Abstract The Institute of Medicine (IOM) recently published new guidelines for maternal weight gain during pregnancy. Using data collected at Moffitt Hospital, University California San Francisco, we examined the associations between outside recommendations IOM and three pregnancy outcomes (small gestational age [SGA] infants, large [LGA] cesarean delivery). These analyses were repeated using population-specific ranges derived from a subgroup women in this cohort with healthy outcomes. purpose study was to compare national hospital standards. Both associated fewer SGA LGA deliveries. overall similar population-derived ranges. Although should be other populations birth outcomes, our results validated their recommendations.
