摘要: Aim  To identify the use and utility of language comprehension tests for unintelligible or non-speaking children with severe cerebral palsy (CP). Method  Severe CP was defined as dysarthria (unintelligible speech) anarthria (absence combined limited mobility, corresponding to Gross Motor Function Classification System levels IV V. An electronic search in databases PubMed, PsychInfo, Embase, CINAHL made studies published between January 1965 December 2008. Indexing terms free-text ‘cerebral palsy’, ‘language’, ‘instrumentation’ were used. Studies included when (1) focus investigate spoken (0–18y) CP, (2) described. Results  Twelve standardized five experimental instruments identified. All developed without mobility. Only Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test – Revised frequently used feasible older (>9y). The other occasionally. establish utility, adaptations test procedures necessary. Interpretation  Language are scarce. A specifically designed these is warranted.
