Taxonomy of the Cape Verde endemic weevil genus Dinas (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Entiminae). Part I: Description of a new subgenus, and two new species from São Nicolau Island

摘要: An extensive material of the Cape Verde endemic weevil genus Dinas Wollaston, 1867 (Curculionidae: Entiminae) is revised. Two subgenera are recognized based on external morphology and biology adults. Microspina subgen. nov. established for group with smaller-sized adults which flower-eaters adapted to habitats Macaronesian flora; 10 species transferred subgenus: D. (M.) angusticeps Roudier, 1957, angustula 1867, elliptipennis heckeli Geisthardt, 1995, micans obsita (M.) pallipes punctipennis sitonaeformis viridisquamea 1957. Contrary, s. str. were found ground under stones only. The fauna Sao Nicolau Island studied in detail. (Microspina) afonsoi sp. (Dinas) strakai described from eastern part island. types new remaining two western island, sitonaeformis, reviewed, lectotype latter designated. identification key all known provided. origin its biogeographic affinities discussed.
