摘要: Biotin is a vital cofactor for many enzymes that facilitate carboxylation, decarboxylation, and transcarboxylation reactions. The biotin biosynthetic network has been well characterized in microorganisms including E.coli (Eisenberg, 1973), but only recently have the genetic biochemical components of Arabidopsis discovered. Previous studies (Muralla et al. 2008) describe chimeric gene locus (BIO3/BIO1) can produce transcript (BIO3/BIO1 (-10)) encoding dual catalytic activities, DAPA aminotransferase dethiobiotin synthetase. Moreover, this could also (+10)) encodes penultimate reaction pathway, This study details approach taken to identify further isolate putative BIO1 protein Arabidopsis. In addition, metabolic control AtBioF (BIO4), BIO2, bifunctional BIO3/BIO1 (-10), (+10) proteins on yield was experimentally assessed. Observations support hypothesis activity encoded by locus, not catalyzed monofunctional protein. Further analysis must be undertaken divulge production.
