摘要: Threatened by Devil Facial Tumor Disease, the Tasmanian devil populations are vulnerable and decreasing. Additionally, devils’ biting behaviour elevates their risk of acquiring bite wound infections caused members bacterial Pasteurellaceae family that natural inhabitants oral microbiota. In medical management such wounds, antimicrobial susceptibility profiles crucial. Prior to this investigation, no available data on minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values existed. A total 26 isolates obtained from cavity healthy devils were tested for broth micro dilution. Most prominently, high MIC clindamycin (≥ 4  μ g ml −1 ), gentamicin (≥ 8 ) amikacin (≥ 32 observed 92, 77 73% strains respectively. This study may be used as a guideline therapy against originating devils.
