摘要: Aging may involve free radical accumulation, which causes cell damage. Foods with antioxidant properties, such as blueberries, have been implicated being able to extend the longevity of an organism. In addition environmental factors, genetics also plays a role in aging and death.. Drosophila melanogaster, one genes involved is Indy (I'm not dead yet). Mutations this gene demonstrated ability increase lifespan. The objective experiment was determine if blueberries added instant fly food affects mortality rates expression profiles female D. melanogaster. To do this, melanogaster were cultured on media or without curves tallied, fruit flies collected for RNA extraction, analysis conducted by quantitative real time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (qRT PCR). Survivorship showed that females blueberry containing lived significantly longer than those control medium. qRT-PCR analyses revealed multiple differential patterns between treatments points. One comparison note at day 25, down· regulated medium compared This suggests possible relationship regulation lifespan
