摘要: Prior research regarding the role of parent-child relationships in children's social development generally has been limited to concurrent or short-term longitudinal data and focused primarily on mothers' influence early middle childhood years. Using a multimethod, multiinformant design, present study extends previous findings by examining whether maternal paternal affect predicted adolescent behavior peer acceptance 2 years later. Both had significant direct indirect effects (via cognitive representations parents) negative as reported siblings, which turn decreased rated teachers. Findings suggest that both mothers fathers shape attest importance exploring multiple pathways may account for continuity relationships.
