摘要: Abstract Amorphous hydrogenated diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings containing a small amount of titanium have been deposited onto AISI 420 steel substrates by unbalanced magnetron sputtering. In order to make the coating adhere metal, four kinds graded interlayers, i.e. Ti, TiN, TiCN and TiC, used, taking advantage fact that Ti layer adheres metal DLC TiC layer. The total thickness is 2.0 μm. showed excellent properties, high microhardness values (higher than 39 Hv (GPa)), adhesion (Lc 10.0–11.0 kg), friction coefficients against an A1 2 O 3 ceramic ball being in range 0.08–0.3 extremely long wear lifetime. addition, tracks as well scars sliding balls were investigated with help optical microscopy scanning electron studies. Tribological studies other materials also carried out. results indicate studied posses dramatically improved protection properties compared e.g. high-quality TiN or coatings. analysed using X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, Rutherford backscattering spectrometry elastic recoil detection.
