摘要: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a central nervous system disorder characterized by the presence of neurofibrillary tangles, neuritic plaques and dystrophic neurones in susceptible areas brain. Few options for treatment AD symptomatology are available. We conducted multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel trial consisting 90 day period followed 30 single blind placebo administration an optional long term up to year with idebenone open fashion. Ninety two patients entered study nine them dropped out before first control. Treatment was found effective on memory, attention, orientation slowing down natural progressive worsening disease. The most common side effects associated this were insomnia, gastralgia, nausea, anxiety. However, all adverse mild intensity did not require specific therapies.
