Inflammatory Myofibroblastic Tumor of Trachea

摘要: Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is an uncommon entity usually encountered among children and involving the lungs. Involvement of trachea, however, extremely rare with only a few published case reports. The condition may present deceptive clinical features. We report tracheal IMT in 23-year-old female who presented symptoms mimicking asthma. On further evaluation, she was detected to have mass that diagnosed as on histopathology successfully treated surgically. This highlights rarity diagnostic challenge associated condition.
