摘要: Abstract To improve the efficiency of deep-bed filtration for aqueous suspensions, theoretical and experimental investigations on porous spheres consisting more or less defined arrangements fibres have been performed. Happel's free surface model is used to describe creeping flow relative a swarm permeable cylindrical inside sphere. Using this it possible predict transport efficiencies particles be captured by spheres. It shown that substantial improvement can achieved use collectors in relation impermeable collectors.
