摘要: Environmental chemicals with oestrogen-like activity are suspected aetiological factors of endometriosis. In animal experiments, cadmium was recently shown to possess properties. the frame a case-control study designed investigate environmental risk for endometriosis, we compared urinary excretion (CdU) and blood concentration in 59 patients peritoneal deep endometriotic (adenomyotic) nodules recto-vaginal septum controls. After standardisation age (30 years) smoking status, mean levels urine were (geometric [geometric S.D.]) 0.25 [1.50], 0.29 [1.76] 0.26 [1.46] microg/g creatinine, respectively. Cadmium concentrations did not differ among three groups. These data, therefore, do support role onset or growth endometriosis septum.
