摘要: Fiber reinforced plastic parts manufactured by injection molding have heterogeneous stiffness and strength behavior due to the process influence on fiber orientations. This paper presents a methodology for determining process-dependent anisotropic inhomogeneous mechanical properties of injection-molded using thickness-wise layered homogenization technique. technique produces an equivalent laminated meso-scale representation at any location in part enables point-wise application existing plate shell theories. The is demonstrated illustrating property variations edge-gated center-gated plaques. Spatial elastic moduli, shear modulus, Poisson's ratio are modeled. model can be conveniently embedded within finite element structural analyses accounting material heterogeneities structure. POLYM.
