摘要: The correlation of seismic field performance with in situ index test results has been proven to be a reliable method for defining the threshold between liquefaction and non-liquefaction. objective this research was define, most accurate unbiased manner possible, initiation soil using cone penetration (CPT). Contained report are research. Case histories occurrence non-occurrence were collected from events that occurred over past three decades. These carefully processed develop improved CPT-based correlations prediction likelihood “triggering,” or initiation, during earthquakes. Important advances previous efforts include (1) Collection larger suite case histories, (2) Development an treatment CPT thin-layer corrections, (3) Improved normalization tip sleeve resistances effective overburden stress effects, (4) evaluation cyclic ratio (CSR) back-analyses (5) Assessment uncertainties all key parameters (6) Evaluation screening on basis overall uncertainty, (7) Use higher-order (Bayesian) regression tools. resultant provide estimates potential, as well quantified uncertainty. new also insight regarding adjustment resistance effects “fines” content character purposes hazard assessment.
