摘要: Keratoconus is a common degenerative corneal disease that can lead to significant visual morbidity, and both genetic environmental factors have been implicated in its pathogenesis. We compared the transcriptome of keratoconus control epithelium using RNA-Seq. Epithelial tissues were obtained prior surgery from myopia patients, undergoing collagen cross-linking photorefractive keratectomy, respectively. identified major differences linked cell-cell communication, cell signalling cellular metabolism. The genes associated with Hedgehog, Wnt Notch1 signaling pathways down-regulated keratoconus. also plasmolipin as being significantly reduced for gene protein expression (p < 0.05). Plasmolipin novel human epithelium, has demonstrated key role epithelial differentiation other tissues. This study shows altered these three proteins keratoconus, further studies are clearly warranted confirm functional pathogenesis
