摘要: We explored the possibility of protecting Penaeus monodon against white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) infection via interference RNA technology by oral administration bacterially expressed WSSV VP28dsRNA. Shrimp were given dsRNA orally two methods. In first method, pellet feed was coated with inactivated bacteria containing overexpressed VP28 gene, and in second VP28dsRNA–chitosan complex nanoparticles. The treated shrimp challenged feeding WSSV-infected tissue. experiment conducted for 30 days. dsRNA-treated showed higher survival compared to control shrimp. Sixty-eight percent observed fed gene whereas 37% nanoparticle–coated feed. caused 100% mortality empty LITMUS38i vector. At end experiment, tissue samples prepared from randomly selected that survived analyzed reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction Western blot analysis WSSV. negative Based on present data advantages dsRNA, we believe crude extract VP28dsRNA is a potential therapeutic agent
