摘要: Dengue Fever (DF) is only rarely considered as a cause of acute liver failure even globally and few case reports hepatic encephalopathy occurring in DF adults are available. We report Acute Liver Failure due to during major outbreak 2010 Chitwan. A 20 year old previously healthy female presented the emergency department Chitwan Medical College with fever, jaundice altered sensorium. She was tested positive for IgM. Her biochemical clinical parameters were suggestive total billirubin 10.1 mg/dL, direct 5.2 ALT 5760 IU, AST 14100 alkaline phosphatase 1250 PT INR 1.76 platelet count 30,000 /mm 3 . Other causes like viral hepatitis, leptospirosis, malaria, Reye’s syndrome ruled out. The patient admitted managed ICU supportive care transfusion.
